On The Fly Airline Schedules

(June 13, 2003)

When you spend a lot of time at the airport it can sometimes be difficult to keep up with changing flight schedules. Airlines continually fine tune their product to meet market demand which means flights are often added, cancelled, and condensed from week to week. Therefore, it's easy for current airline timetables to become quickly outdated.

Thankfully, many U.S. carriers have solved this problem by turning their flight schedules into downloadable timetables that load into your Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) such as Palm Pilot®, HandSpring®, Sony, Wireless Application Protocol-enabled cell phones (WAP), PocketPC, and personal computers. These nifty programs provide travelers with up-to-date information for any given flight, including the flight number, arrival and departure times, aircraft type, number of stops and frequency. Most timetables are updated as your synchronize your device; ensuring fliers have the most current information.
